Thank you, Jenn Nguyen, for this recipe! These hand pies bring together the best of two worlds: the savoury goodness of a cheeseburger inside a hot and flaky pastry. Set up a DIY burger bar with these hand pies taking centre stage—serve with crispy fries, sliced veggies, and your choice of condiments for dunking.
- Preheat oven to 400° F. Line Sheet Pan with Sheet Pan Liner.
- Chop pickles into small pieces.
- In Sauté Pan, brown beef over medium-high heat. Add pickles, seasoning, cheese, water, and ketchup; stir to combine. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Cut each puff pastry sheet into 8 equal pieces (you should have 16 pieces in total).
- Arrange half of the pieces on the pan. Top each of the 8 pieces with an equal portion of beef filling, then place one of the remaining 8 pieces over each filling-topped piece. Pinch edges to close to form hand pies. Use a fork to poke holes on top of each hand pie. Brush with melted butter or oil.
- Bake 12–14 min, or until golden brown.
